Your welcome! I think you mean about opacity and to make the the pictures seem 'brighter' so to speak, there should be an opacity option on the toolbar at the top of your computer screen, by adjusting the opacity you can make the colours more vivid (that is if you're using photoshop!)

Emily, I didn't know about the opacity option. I'll have to try that! I still need to remember to do a watermark on my pictures as well. Thanks for the tip about the opacity.

Oops! It was Rachael's tip and I'm too late to modify my last post. Rachael, I've been trying to adjust the opacity levels, but it won't work unless I create a new layer. Once I do that, it won't let me color the section. Any ideas?

Hi Emmylee

I find layers confusing in photoshop, I haven't got the hang of them! I learned most of what I know about colourisation from this tutorial, and (for me anyway!) it is a much simpler way to colour with none of the confusuion of using layers. Here's the tutorail:

Unfortunately I don't know anything about layers so I can't help you with your present problem, but hopefully the tutorail will help when you colour another picture!
