I watched a Russian documentry on Mathilde. It was filled with photos and film of Mathilde at home. One of those films showed Andrea coming up to Mathilde to kiss her before kissing her hand.  I'll try to find the title and PM you the information if you like.

wonderful photo Katenka. Are you sure its from 1890? Looks to be around 1900...I could be wrong. Either way thanks for posting this photo.

Personally I have never looked into Mathilda's mouth, but I think she had a nice smile when she was young.;-D
Btw - they DID have orthodoncy those days- Gd Mikhail's stapdaughter - Tata - attended appointments at ortodontists, when she was a child.;)
