Restaraunt "Staraya Bashnya"

This restaurant is located in the heart of Feodorovsky Gorodok, in the same complex as Maria's and Anastasia's hospital. Did anyone have the chance to go there? I think it serves traditional Russian food.

This is a superb restaurant.  It is the smallest restaurant in the St Petersburg region and boasts the largest menu, serving only Russian food.   The chef will prepare anything you wish to order - in advance.   It is owned by Sergei Gutsait, who also owns Podvorya - the famous Russian restaurant on the outskirts of Pavlovsk. 

I could not recommend Staraya Bashna (Old Tower) strongly enough.   Everything is homemade.   The cranberry juice is wonderful.   Many of the preserved fruits and the juices come from Sergei's estate in the Crimea.
