Because this thread is NOT FOR POSTING IMAGES.  It is only to explain HOW to post them and answer questions ABOUT posting images. DO NOT POST IMAGES HERE JUST TO POST THEM.

Photos, oh I have photos!  Ga-zillions, of the period 1880-1953.

What would you like to see?

I notice most of the photos in the section where I have an interest are GONE or moved.

I  would suggest the Imperial Family subforum in the 'sticky' thread regarding questions about photographs/help with IDs--it should be one of the threads at the very top of the Imperial Family subforum. I think you'll find most people on the Forum very kind and helpful.  :)

I tried posting again, with no success.  I'm using Photobucket.

Photobucket has 4 options beside each photo:  Email & IM, Direct Link, HTML Code, and IMG Code.  Each option has a URL that can be copied and pasted to the destination.  Additionally, there is the URL in the address bar at the top of the screen.

My question:  Which of the options do I copy and paste to my posts here?

I tried that, Carolath, after reading a similar instruction elsewhere.  I copied and pasted the IMG option from Photobucket to my post on this site, changed IMG from uppercase to lowercase -and was rewarded with a red x in a white box.

What am I doing wrong?

just copy the url from the browser window itself for the photo you want to post.

the result should look like this:   http://www.photbucket.com/mypic.jpg   except open the thing with  I can't show that here or it will do the same thing...

Hello,
Does linking photographs from drop box work?

With thanks,
