(In no particular order)

Vicky--fascinating intellect, great royal love story, witness to much history
Queen Mary--I think still waters run deep plus I'd be happy to hear some royal history from one with such a photographic memory
Missy--for reasons listed by others; I don't think she could be boring
Ella--complex maritial relationship; trajectory from stylish GDss to devout nun and martyr
VMH--I bet she was quite the talker!
Alice Athlone--same as VMH and boy did she witness a lot of history
Queen Elisabeth of Belgium--independent woman and Queen; war heroine; daughter of Karl Theodor
Miechen--I bet she could really dish the dirt plus she was an educated and cultivated woman
Pss Mary Adelaide, Dss of Teck--the original People's Princess; full of joie de vivre
Queen Victoria--'What a woman' to quote Bismarck

I have to sneak one more in...

KR--man of contradictions, kindness, culture and compassion

As it's Tampa Bay's choice, I feel I can let go a little here... ;) :D ;D

Er, isn't old Liz just a bit weird-o-rama these days?  I mean, being bridesmaid/bedmate to Wacko and Liza-With-A-Z/Mark "Scary-Plastic-Surgery" Gero makes her as oddball as them.  If you said "Elizabeth Taylor during the 1950's", maybe I could understand but I think she's been travelling down Avenue Strange steadily since that time, what?  ??? ::) ;D

Okay, back to it now...

Vicky, for brains, stamina, and well-roundedness.
Fritz, for having the potential of being the man who could have created a European nation
Wallis, for unparalleled chutzpah and charm.
Prince Albert, for being visionary supreme.
Diana, for unmatched style and contrast and poise
WII, for being at the center of historical crossroads and truly having many facets that remain unheralded
Prince William, for being the final chapter, it seems
Viktoria Luise, for making it through the best and worst with dignity...and lasting.
Christinan of Denmark, for his amazing ability to place his offspring in high places
Alexander III, for his ability to understand and use sheer and utter power

I think the ability to place offspring in high places goes to Queen Louise and not her husband Christian IX.  :(

Glad to see Vicky is so popular - very deserving and a contrast to how she was treated when she was alive. A most commenable English Princess and German Empress. Although her path through life was not always easy, and her enemies tried to ruin her, I'm pleased she is so well regarded. I applaud her!!!!!!! :)

Vicky, next to Ella, is my favorite of all royals. We used to have a Favorite (as opposed to Interesting) royals list in the pre-switch days. I had trouble narrowing that list down.  :)

yes, in past months, Vicky had always risen to the top of favorite lists. What makes her such an A List member is, I think, the truly 'match made in heaven' with Fritz. It was one plus one is three.

She should have lived to at least to age 80, but WWI would have more than devasted her.

Huh ?

Yes...Vicky is a most interesting charecter, but could be difficult as she was such a perfectionist. A rather opinated woman and not everybody's cup of tea. Missy wrote in her memoirs as she sometimes felt that Vicky's smiles were faked and not sincere. Guess she finally learnt how to act eventaully after being honest and hitting walls so mant times.  :(
