I am so thrilled that Your Imperial Majesty is merely considering it!
As for changing to the T'chin ranks, I felt originally and still feel that it is too complicated for most users to understand. I know some of you really want the T'chin ranks, but I have to keep the entire community in mind, and I think it is too complex for most users to easily understand.
Sovereign Administrator and Autocrat!
I humbly think you underestimate your subjects! Or at least their potential. Recently I have ventured into the NAOTMAA threads and the Having Fun section and been surprised by the high
potential found there.
and most people understand Prince, Count, Baron more readily than Collegiate Registrar or Privy Counciller First Class.
I think people who ❤ NAOTMAA already have crossed a line where they are ready for it. :-)
Also, there is no way for users to choose which specific title out of each level they want.
OK, then it might be best to limit it to the Civil Service Ranks. How many levels can you accomodate? All the 14 classes?
Don't forget that Titles of Nobility were bestowed by the Emperor for service as well,
But that was for especially highly regarded services. When somebody just posts 500 posts full of more or less inane drivel just for the sake of it, that really has a wonderfully compulsory, insanse, bureaucratic ring to it that would be much more "deserving" of the rank "State Councillor" than Knyaz! I am particularly reminded of Chechov's short story "The Privy Councillor".
I think changing "newbie" to "commoner" may be more appropriate, and I forgot to include "Baron" originally.
Wouldn't "serf" or "subject" be more Tsarist? :-) "Commoner" is such a British concept.
BTW even though Kamer-Junker had been a perfect newbie rank, the Court Ranks are probably not too finely graded (in the lower echelons) to be used. Though Gof-Marshall or Tseremoni-Meister would of course be brilliant for moderators and Ober-Gof-Marshall or Ober-Tseremoni-Meister perfect for the FA!
Does this forum have polls? If you aren't too jealous of your autocratic powers, perhaps you should grant a poll to judge the sentiments among the populace?
