Europe Gets a New Country: By Donald Meitervan
In breaking news today, the European Union just announced that a new country would be added to the list of European countries. The unrest at the border between the Chek Republic and Switzerland over the last few months has left the EU in a muddle. “We have to create a buffer state.” “It’s for the best for everyone” It seems this tiny, fledgling country already has a name. Gendobreland. It’s also determined that
this country will be a constitutional monarchy. One of the leaders at the EU summit meeting replied to this “Well, It’s working pretty well for England” Hopefully, this will smooth out relations between the Chek Republic and Switzerland. The royal family has been beseeched, and they gracefully accepted. They have been picked as the royal family as they are distant cousins of the last ruler who was the king of this area back in the middle ages Karl III of OH who bloody cares?!! I have to finish this story now because I’m on a deadline. Peace out.
Well, I guess that that was less than an auspicious start to the country that my dad rules now, along with Parliament, of course. I can’t believe that my dad of all people now rules a country. I suppose you’re wondering why I’m writing this. I just have to get this out of my system somewhere and it better not be where the press can find it. I can’t believe this. One day you’re a normal girl living in England, going to college. Watching TV, doing homework, going to some stores with friends and then WHAM! You’re a princess. It seemed like yesterday when I was just plain Catherine Elizabeth Stuart, and now I’m Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine Alexandra Elizabeth Marie. I don’t even know my last name anymore. It’s horrible. Get me out of here!
I suppose it’s not all bad. I mean, sure they’re still trying to figure out our family name, sure they don’t even know what the official language is, sure I’m going to a different boarding school, but at least I have my family right. Things can only get better. Right?
