The label on the photo says the photo was taken in Ekaterinburg.Since I'm not an expert on the IF family photographs, Â do the rest of you think this is accurate?Who are the other two daughters of Nicholas II with the one you think is Anastasia?Has anyone ever seen this photo before this article? Some of you think it might not be a photo but a paintiing. Â Why?AGRBear
Yes it is a painting, from left to right Maria, Anastasia, Tatiana and Nicolas, it was based on a real picture which was taken in the Alexander Palace
It's also a composite, isn't it? The photo of Nicholas sitting on the stump was taken during the captivity at Tsarskoe, while the image of the three grand duchesses is obviously from an earlier period.
I'm afraid to say that site was lying or wrong, because no pics exist of the family after they left Tobolsk. There were several rolls of film taken at the Ipatiev house but sadly the Bolsheviks burned them.I read a book once when I was in Jr. High that had a lot of pics they claimed were taken just before the murders, but looking back later I can tell they were really pics from before the war, OTMA in pretty white dresses and shoes on Alexandra's balcony at the palace. It's sad how some people will give misleading information because there are people out there trying to learn. The last pic ever taken of her that I have seen posted here was one of her sitting in a chair looking at a book. She had really grown up and looked a lot like her Aunt Olga. In fact when I first saw the pic I thought it was Olga. I know someone here has it, I forgot which thread it was in.
Where did you read that there were photos taken in the Ipatieve house? I read that the Romanov's asked to 'play' with their Box brownies at Ekaterinburg but were refused them.
