We saw this once in a very small size and now, it’s such in a great size : D
I wonder who took this photo for them. I wish she/he (if it’s Alexei) also had a try of this “funny faces” theme ^^

I think it's Olga and Anastasia on that picture. Anastasia is quite recognizable, but not the other. It doesn't look like Tatiana at all, and I think it's not Maria. So, the only possible choice is Olga, even though it's hard to recognize her. I don't know who took the photo, but we can imagine it was one the sisters, probably Maria (I'm just guessing...). To be sure of who is on the photo, we have to know the date, because one of the girls wears her hair up, and they usually have to wait until 16 for that, so if the photo was taken before 1915, it may not be Maria (but I've heard that Maria wore her hair up before 16, I don't know if it's true, if it is, it complicates the things).

No... It is definitely Maria. I have no idea why you would presume it to be Olga. The other photographs from this day, also in the Mauve room, show it is plainly Maria and Anastasia. It is 1915 and Maria was allowed to put her hair up slightly early, for whatever reason. There has never been any debate on who was in this photograph.

I just said it was Olga because of the difference of age (but I wasn't sure about it...). But on this photo, for me, it was really hard to say if 'it's definitely Olga' or  'definitely Maria'. That's why I didn't say 'it's Olga", I said "I think it's Olga".
I didn't want to create a debate at all. I was just sharing what I thought. That's all.
I don't know the others pictures from this day, sorry: I only saw one photo from this day (and not the easiest to identify), so please, excuse my mistake.

No worries. I wish there were more pictures of Anastasia with her hair up as well. It's interesting how they all had their own, slightly different ways of putting their hair up.

To my knowledge, I've only seen one photo of Anastasia with her hair up, and I do think it quite suited her.
