thank you very much!!!

Like the song-list idea...I have some Russian Opera on cd, and a cd of Russian monks singing but thats about it in Russian-related material...save a few musicals in Russian, LOL.

 ;D

You know I always browse Youtube for Romanov videos -- and I think I've seen most of them!  Some of them are really well done, great presentation with the pictures and the music.

My favorite has to be the one that uses the Stephen Foster ballad "Slumber My Darling" -- that just seems so appropriate somehow and with pictures of
Alexandra with her children it is just heartbreaking -- but in a good way (if that is possible!)  Even tho' the music isn't "classical" or Russian in the slightest.

I have to say that (maybe because I'm 30+) I just can't get into the videos that use contemporary music -- as much as I like a lot of the music used it just seems to clash with the pictures of a bygone day.  But hey, that's just me and usually I just turn off the music and enjoy the presentation, which is usually lovely!

Keep on doing them!  ;D

Sorry, but I don't have it on my Youtubes favorites anymore and can't locate it!  Maybe someone will post here -- I know it was an AP member that did the video.  It was really lovely.

I'm glad to see that the "real video" on Frozentears.org is being used in these nice music videos.  :D
Were you going to put the credit in the info Maria~fan? I remember you PM'd me and said you were going to put credit down, but I haven't seen it yet.  :-\

Lovely pictures Maria fan!  They make a very nice tribute!

P.S. -- No one claims to the video with "Slumber My Darling" as music?  I wish I could remember whose it was, it seems to have disappeared.

All these videos are beautiful and very creative.   ;)
But the ones that have really caught my eye were the actual footage clips. :o
If only YouTube wasn't under so much heat these days, I'd say it is an ingenious site!
