True, the Mayerling-movies show her scheming - especialy the 1968-one -, but not as if she really was a bitch. For "The Crown Prince" she is shown as a go-between between Rudolf and Mary, which keeps on the offical acount of events(as for the suicide/murder), and adds some rumours to make a compelling movie is still one of the more historical correct movies - when it comes to Rudolf's relationship with his parents, Bratfish his Cousin Wilhelm and his wife -, using several things that have been said in reality, and keeping certain things spread by Larisch out(as Mary not bowing for Stephanie).

The German 50's movie shows her very much as a schemer, how the elder Baroness Vetsera begged her to find Mary and her flight out of Vienna when she was unable to talk the head of the police into going to Mayerling to stop whatever was about to happen there.  I think it was the most 'true' portrayal of Larisch I have seen so far. Also this movie shows Rudolph signing his name on a piece of paper accepting the Hungarian Crown if it was offered to him. This piece of paper was brought to him by Johann Salvator. I liked it!

I hope to get chance to watch the one with Romy....

I found English subtitles for the first two movies, the third I'm working on myself. Intend to creat a torrent for those.

And I made a new video to "The Crown Prince", this one - again - is about Rudolf and Mary's romance, but also, does show more of Franz-Joseph.
