I really would liek to see the kind of series that you're mentioning below, they would be
more objective than silly love stories, well, just a point of view

Well, I would appreciate such miniseries a lot too. Unfortunately the filmmakers rather prefer silly love stories instead of historical accurate movies. Propably they want in this way catch more audience.:-(

I do think it would be possible to make a mini series that was highly successful as long as they pay attention to the historical facts known. The movie Ludwig was great because not only did it adhere fairly close to the facts, it's costumes and settings were elaborate and a joy to watch. There is enough 'fluff' out there, just bring something real to the screen! The good, the bad AND the ugly!

Perhaps is more difficult to present some historical characters as they were in real life, many
of this stories are a little bit idealised, I think that would be better to present them as they were
in real life ;-)

We need someone like Visnonti to bring it to the screen.

The problem is who can or want to take on this project.

Didn't you hear about a German movie that didn't  finish, they wanted to make justice to Sissi, but
they exagerated a little bit presenting Franz Joseph as extremely old man and Sissi as a... lesbian?
the producers decided to leave it. Do you know who were the actors?

Franzi an old man ??? Sisi a lesbian ??? That is going too far. Glad the producers and letting it go. No point to seeing filth on the screen. I think the most exciting time in Sisi's life was her involvement in Hungary's establishment as the equal partner in the duel monarchy. She was greatly beloved in Hungary.

They exaggerate with the movies, or so silly and naive or a lesbian!!! Poor!!!!
The producers decided to finish with it because they didn't want to destroy Sissi's image, you
know she is an icon in Austria. Would be interesting to see a movie of this stage of her life

Yes. Sisi was a bit in love with Andrassy, and they both worked on Franz Josef on the creation of self rule by the Hungarians. It would be a good movie on that subject alone.

Indeed true, I'm sure that it would be a good idea for a new movie or serie about
the Empress Sissi

How are the hungarian movies about Sissi? I've heard that there are a few (exactly I don't know how many),
I haven't had the opportunity to see them
