I have not yet recieved my copy of "Elisabeth Von Österreich", starring Lili Dagover as the Empress for the first time, yet my friend said it was not that good... Ah well, will have to wait until I recieve my copy.

I recently saw Ludwig II with Ruth Leuwerik as Elisabeth

Indeed, it's from Sissi's first movie. I really want to see it... has anyone seen it or knows if it is available?

It can be watched in Austria, in some kind of museum... I have parts of it in a documentary.... There's the yellow domino-episode(also covered in the new series, but totally incorrect), her assassination(filmed at the Beau Rivage).... Don't know if there is more.

Neither I believe. I'd have to rewatch the documentary for that, I'll get back on that later.

Certainly. Bette Davis was simply stunning as Carlotta/Charlotte... Wish they'd release it on DVD

Mexican soap opera from 1965 with the argentinian actor Guillermo Murray as Emperor Maximilian and María Valdez (if I'm not wrong) as Empress Charlotte
