hey, guys! finally!
Ive been to Arkhangelskoe today!! it is very beautiful and I was excited to walk along the paths where Felix had walked.
unfortunately not many monuments are opened yet and the Palace is being restored so it is closed.
and I was very irritated by Stalin's buildings. Do you know, what had been there, before them?

Im not a photographer so these  photos are the only onesI was able to make.

And...I bought there smth like a guide-book and a biography book about Felix by Elisaveta Krasnikh. it is said to be the most full Felix bio. and there are SUCH wonderful photos! *a lot of hearts*  Ive never seen them before. unfortunately my scanner doesnt work but, if you like, I can take a photo of them. of course the quality wouldnt be great...but maybe you have already seen the pics.

Lovely pics, Taksa! It's really interesting to see amatuer's photos than some official postcards. I for some reason thought that the Palace had been partly restored and opened...Well, seems living in Saint-Petersbourg is a pole apart from Moscow .

one of the security guards said that one half of the Palace would be opened soon. but when soon?...who knows...

I read  somewhere, a greenhouse was in the place where the sanatorium was built, of course not in the WHOLE area, that is why I asked if soemone else knew about this.

Ok.. I found it....  "Large conservatories and dwelling houses used to be in the southern part of the park, but in the 1930s Archangelskoye sanatorium blocks were constructed on their site.".... IThis is what the "Arkhangeskoie web site say about the park, yet, I remember a couple of years ago, there was  another web site of Arkhangelskoie which had a map, but it is no longer working..
