Two Uzbek migrants were killed in Pushkin by a gang of local apparently nationalistically motivated youths.

That is unfortunate news. I am so upset about rising nationalism in Russia. Most of the folks in Russia, mixed nationalities, I am myself half Ukrainian and half Russian. When entire world uniting, I think Russia today stimulates nazis thoughts.
But what is disturbing, most of the push, comes from outside of Russia, provoking actions.
Russia today, is second country in the world, with high immigration rate, after USA. Migrant workers like Uzbek's, something like Mexicans for US - cheap and reliable labor.
I hope so, police will manage to resolve the issue appropriately, get criminals and persecute them severely.
You can't avoid our past.
