Screenplay Ideas
« on: December 01, 2006, 10:19:54 PM »
I'm in love with the media and the movie industry, wich also involves movie scripts, screenplays, teleplays and just for fun does anyone have any ideas for new Romanov movies that they might wanna see on screen? Ideas for plays? etc. Or new characters you might want to introduce to the Romanov story? Anything and everything from the imagination will do.

(I'm sure this has been discused already, but here's to a fresh start!)

Nice Idea, Anya!

Because I'm so different from most, I think that a nice way to tell the story of NAOTMAA onscreen to children would be to write it from the Imperial Pets' point of view. Kind of like the Garfield movies. There's nothing better than a good, sarcastic fat cat.  :)

There are so many events in the IF's lives if you just think about it: Nicholas & Alix's romance, the birth of alexei, Spala, 1913, the visit to Romania, the declaration of war just to name a few. These ideas could easily be interpreted into plays.

I'd love to see "My Anastasia" turned into a movie  ;)

Omgosh, I always wanted to see My Anastasia turned into a movie too.
I was maybe thinking of trying to do it myself when I'm out of school.

Any more ideas?

I would love to see a Romanov movie

it can start when Nicky and Alix become king and queen until the horrible assasination

if the movie was historically accurate

i would see it

Most of the big budget Romanov movies focus more on the war and the politics of the time or Rasputin; I'd just like a movie that focuses on the personal lives of the imperial family and aristocracy- a movie which really develops that bubble-like world feel without really contrasting it- so it seems all the more shocking when they're swept from power. I think that would give viewers a much more realistic look into the lives of these people, who were very removed from the squalor around them.

That and there'd be more time for sweeping ballroom panoramas and strauss waltzes...

Often when people see one of those political Romanov movies, they get the idea the Romanovs were bad people...it's so annoying. It'd be nice to see one where it portrayed them truly.

Oh,and if there's an accurate Romanov movie

the movie should be in the multiple languages they used

I know how extremely difficult it would be,but I just want the movie to be authentic as possible

another plus would be not only good actors, but they should look almost EXACTLY like them too

but if they were to film this accurate Romanov movie, and it was a Russian film,I think it would cause some contreversy(excuse me for my spelling),cause a lot of people in Russia think of Nicholas II as a horrible man

but I still think the film should be Europeon

I just recently saw 'The Last Emperor' (about Puyi, the last emperor of china), and it was THE BEST historical/biography film I have ever seen, hands down. It was directed and co-written by Bernardo Bertolucci- if he could do a film on the Romanovs I'm sure it would be unparalleled- after all, The Last Emperor took home all of the oscars (9) it was nominated for.
