HRH The Duke of Parma turns 41 today thursday january 27th.I recall when he was born at Nijmegen,
The Netherlands,the long awaited firstborn of Princess Irene and Prince Carlos Hugo,a frail child,who,
from his early childhood,spend a lot of time with the family of his aunt,The Queen,and is still very close
to her and her sons.

Princess Margarita Mrs Tjalling ten Cate,the younger sister of HRH the Duke of Parma,gave birth to a girl on the 25th
of february at 18.05 at the Bronovo hospital,The Hague.The girls names are Paola Cecilia Laurentien.Paola is the
second child and daughter of Mr and Mrs. ten Cate,néé HRH Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parma as they already
have a darling daughter,Julia.

HRH planted a tree yesterday at the Cancer Memorial Forest at Dronten,The Netherlands,on
the first anniversary of the death of his father,who died on august 18th 2010 in Barcelona.

The official name for the Memorial Forest is the Queen Wilhelmina Forest,named after the Dukes
great-grandmother who was the founder of the Dutch Cancer Foundation that also bears her name.

The Forest,initiated 10 years ago,now holds 25.000 trees.

Yesterday morning a Mass was read at the Basilica Magistrale Costantiniana di Santa Maria della Steccata
in Parma in remembrance of :SAR il Principe Carlo Ugo di Borbone Parma,Duca di Parma e Piacenza.

who talked openly with her on their time in office as PM,their defeats,successes,all.

The Duchess,néé Annemarie Gualthérie van Weezel,daughter of a former MP and Ambassador,is since long before
her marriage a political correspondent of the NOS national dutch television at the EU in Brussels.

child and daughter HRH Princess Maria Carolina and Mr.Albert Brenninkmeijer.

Mr.Brenninkmeijer is the scion of a wellknown family here in The Netherlands.

Mr.Albert Brenninkmeijer was born in Paris on may 16th 1974 and studied economics at Edinburgh university
and an MBA at Oxford.At present he is employed as a member of the board at C & A France,the Brenninkmeijer
international family business.

The Princess was born on june 23rd 1974 at Nijmegen university hospital as the youngest child of HRH Princess Irene
of The Netherlands and the late Duke Carlos Hugo de Bourbon Parma.She studied political sciences at the University of
Amsterdam and Harvard,as well as forced migration at oxford university.At present she is employed at the UN HQ in Geneva,
Switserland,coordinating the Humanitarian Aid section.Previously she was also stationed at,ao,the Gaza strip and other troubled
regions globally.


No wedding date has yet been set but the wedding is due this year.

a civil ceremony at the Town Hall of Wijk bij Duurstede where her mother,P{rincess Irene,lives.

The religious ceremony will follow on june 16th at the San Miniato al Monte church in Florence,Italy.
