HRH may find himself with more than one new royal shave-off of the old Parmesan cheese in the near future. His illegitimate (but recognized) Carlos Hugo Roderik Sybren Klynstra, having atteined his majority, has, according to Wikipedia "started the legal procedure to opt for the possibility to change his surname to that of his biological father (Prince Carlos) by Royal decree. If Carlos Hugo would succeed in this procedure he would be [en]nobled upon these changes because he would then be legitimised by law (Nobility Act, 1994) and would henceforth be known as His Royal Highness Prince Carlos Hugo Roderik Sybren de Bourbon de Parme."
If I were a member of the Hoge Raad van Adel I'd do my best to ensure he was incorporated into the nobility as Carlos Hugo Roderik Sybren Bâtard de Bourbon de Parme, armed with a baton or bend sinister as a true Parmesan topping on the obese but not very nourishing Bourbon-Parma arms - honi soit qui mal y pense!
