Lisa's Mother in Hospital
« on: November 15, 2006, 06:37:07 PM »
Hi everyone - for those of you who know me, you know that I have two speeds only - warp and sleeping - so I was very surprised to hear about my mother being hospitalized this week with a probable heart attack - because Mom is the same way! At any rate, your prayers and best wishes are very much appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who wrote me on the board and privately.

My mom was released from the hospital after "passing" a test that tells the doctors her treatment is working. As best as they can tell, she had a heart attack brought on by a blockage in an artery. She is being treated for the blockage and they are trying to figure out how badly her heart was damaged.

She's happy to be at home, and able to have her tea again just the way she likes it (she spent too much time in Yorkshire to like US hospital tea!) and will probably sleep better in her own bed.

Again, my thanks to you all, and when it comes to matters such as this, we really are a community.

Dear Lisa,

I just noticed your posting about your mom. I am so happy that she is OK and back home again.
I hope the damage to her heart was insignificant. I am also glad they quickly found out the cause.
