Hiya everyone! I didn't see this thread until today, so I'm about to add my 2 cents:

Olga: (Books) Gone With The Wind, Pride and Prejudice, A Christmas Carol, etc (Maybe with a little Mary Higgins Clark, too). (Movies) Pride and Prejudice (2005 version), Gone With The Wind, and if she's sitting down with Anastasia: That Darn Cat, Sherlock Holmes. Sounds like something they both would like.

Tatiana: (Books) Religious Fiction (maybe with a little romance, too) and some type of magazine-whatever's popular at the time, I guess. (Movies) Miss Congeniality (the fashion!), the Narnia movies, anything Biblical

Maria: (Books) Narnia, Wildwood Dancing (not sure if everybody's heard of it-a remake of the 12 dancing princesses, basically (yes, Talya, I know you have! )), or other fantasy/romance stuff (I don't know why, but I think Maria would have been a lover of fantasy). (Movies) Two Weeks Notice, Miss Congeniality, and I'm sure she wouldn't have minded sitting down with Olga through Pride and Prejudice!

Anastasia: (Books) Series of Unfortunate Events, Narnia, and that's probably about all =D (Movies) A Series of Unfortunate Events, Narnia, the Uninvited (old version=D)(I can just imagine her and Alexei cuddled up together on the couch, all the lights off, watching the Uninvited, and not getting ANY sleep that night), and a lot of comedies.

Maria and Anastasia would have probably liked Disney Channel when they were younger. I can imagine Olga liking I Love Lucy or Andy Griffith, and Tatiana . . . hmmm. That is to be decided.

There you have it - my 2 cents! (Well, my 1 and 11/12 cents . . . I couldn't decide on Tatiana's series.  Oh well)

Olga'd be the computer savvy one. I agree with those who say she'd like the Nightwish genre. I think she'd also be intrigued with online gaming. Something she can completely control and indulge in lol. Olga would have such diverse skill and personality that she'd have a hard time staying with any one career for long.

Tatiana would love Disney-type movies and classic musicals. She'd also enjoy the types of music like Sara Barielles and such. I think she'd spend her time with her significant other and writing and singing. Assuming she's not royalty, I think she'd have a very stable and pleasant job that she would be efficient at.

Marie would have adored movies like POTC and Tuck Everlasting. Any adventure story with a hint of romance in it, but not *too* much romance. Oddly I agree with whoever said she'd like Tatu...that gave me a chuckle. I think she would've tried her hand non-competitively at many sports, but never stuck with anything too seriously, and it'd be the girlier sorts of sports, like ballet, gymnastics, and figure skating.

Anastasia would have loved music like Il Divo and Michael Jackson. (I'm in my 20s so I'm looking at this from my age view-point; they'd be a bit old for stuff like High School Musical and anyway Anastasia probably would've found that annoying). I think Anastasia would get into lots of boy troubles but end up very happily married in the end.

Alexei would love anything to do with ships. So of course all the modern-day Titanic paraphernalia would excite him. He'd also like geography books and the like. He'd love the classics still, such as Pushkin, but also Harry Potter. He'd want his own little library for himself, I'm certain. I don't think he'd necessarily be sporty, even if he didn't have hemophilia. I think he'd play a lot but not necessarily be serious in a sport, for some reason that doesn't fit him.

This is one of my favourite topics! I agree with Marty that Anastasia would harrass Olga with blonde jokes. She seems the type of girl for comedy movies, though I can see her putting on Anastasia when the IF have visitors. She probably watch the odd horror just to annoy someone who told her not to like Tatiana LOL! I don't think she'd read much, but I do get this image in my head of her prancing around with a copy of Massie's Nicholas & Alexandra and reading about herself. 
Maria would be Phantom of The Opera/Calamidy Jane/Seven Brides for Seven Brothers kind of girl. Titanic, of course. For books, romance novels, and I see the idea of forbidden/impossible/extraordinary romance appealling to her so maybe she'd read the Twilight books?
Tatiana would be magazines. For films, maybe the odd musical like My Fair Lady (the fashion in the film is amazing), and then mainly pop music like whoever said Gwen Stefani.
Olga would be all Nat Geo/Discovery/ the Russia Today news channel. I see her writing her own biography and doing interviews about life as a GD. Maybe she'd like Gone With The Wind, Sherlock Holmes, The Da Vinci Code, etc.
Alexei's easy - Harry Potter, LOTR, Series of Unfortunate Events, comedies. He'd join Anastasia with watching the horrors to annoy Tatiana.
Nicholas would just stick to the books, LOTR, War and Peace, The Hobbit. Alexandra would watch biblical documentaries about Mary Magdalene and that sort. She might like The Nun's Story (old 1959 movie about a nun working in African slums, hardly on the TV anymore).
That's my opinion done.

Olga: all the classics, like the bible, to pushkin, to Tolstoy, to Gone with the Wind to to Kill a Mocking Bird etc.
Tatiana: all the celeb magazines (she would be in them, for sure! No rag mags, though, that's more Anastasia )
Maria: action, adventure, and romance. Like the Crown and the Crucible. Wonderful story (thanks OlgaBernice!)
Anastasia: tabloids (rag mags) and a lot of online reading! (blogs, pranks, blond jokes! I bet she *might* like Blondie though!)
Alexei: hmm... Toughie.... Definitely the Harry Potter series, and LOTR...

TV:
Olga: BBC, CNN, PBS, National Geographic, Discovery Channel! But I can see her watching the old movies channel too!
Tatiana: she'd watch soaps with Maria! Bold and the Beautiful for her, but she might like older ones too, although not Dark Shadows. (dredful acting, dreadful lines. It is pretty hilarious though! )
Maria: soaps with Tatiana! You know B&B all my children, etc... And maybe FRIENDS with Anastasia and Alexei!
Anastasia: George Lopez, making fun of Dark Shadows, looking up footage online of people getting smacked in the face with pie,various other YouTube searches
Alexei: pretty much the same as Anastasia, but maybe a couple military programs with his father and/or Olga!

Olga: something like past romanov Tsars and their accomplishments... I can't really see Olga as a YouTube user... Or maybe she is a user! :O
Tatiana: behind the scenes footage of Days of Our Lives etc.

Olga: reporter for France 24
Tatiana: fashion designer!
Maria: housewife, who operates a store below her house called Maria's Home Goods! (there's a diner call Maria's Diner next to it!)
Anastasia: comedy writer/stand up comic!
Alexei: captain of a ship!

Their autobiographies would be called;
Olga: What my Colleagues Don't Know; The Life of a Proud Reporter Olga R.
Tatiana: Seams and Stitches; The Thread of My Life by Tatiana R.
Maria: Pricing Inventory with a Prized Infant; How I Managed to Not Mix Them Up by Maria R.
Anastasia: Becoming a Comic; Watching the Funniest of the Funniest at 4am by Anastasia R.
Alexei: Living with Hemophilia; The Struggles of a Child by Alexei R. (soon to be followed by Living with Hemophilia; The Struggles of an Adult!)

Their Electronics!
Olga: cellphone, pager, kindle of course, and an iPad with all the same books!
Tatiana: cellphone, personalized laptop, and a personal organizer (I forgot what they're called)
Maria: cellphone and an ipod is all she needs!
Anastasia: cellphone, Wii, Nintendo 64, best of the best laptop, desktop, and every operating system known to mankind (Olga installed them,  she knows that kind of thing)
Alexei: he and Anastasia share theirs, but he has his own laptop and cell phone!
