The caption that it had was the next: Tanzbüchlein der Kaiserin, I tryied to translate it on google but didn't get a good result, some help from the ones who know German will be welcome

I tried translating just "Tanzbüchlein" and it said it meant "Dance booklet" so it must be a sort of dance card-thingy, except a book.

It's what we call Ballspende or Damenspende here, a kind of gift to the people who are attending the ball. It was a little gift that usually contained the photo or portrait of the Emperor or the Empress, or another member of the Habsburg family. That's why I am not sure it belonged to Elisabeth. Maybe the caption is wrong. Maybe someone just got it from her. Anyway... A gift like this could also be a little golden candy box, tissue with initials, brooch, etc... Very popular were those kind of dance booklets or cards. Anyone who watched the SISSI movies probably remembers that on the first ball when Elisabeth and Franz meet, Carl Ludwig asks her, if he can have a dance and write his name into her dance card.

From a Hungarian site, according to it this dreamlike hungarian dress belonged to the Empress Sissi. Beautiful... isn't it?

This gown wasn't belonged to Sisi, it's a hungarian baroque gown, belonged to an hungarian aristocratic lady, unfortunatly I can't remember her name.

I have to added some information of Sisi's reproductions... Lot's of made by Mónika Czédly, please mention her name, I think she deserve it. It was a really big work, and the iupshot was amazing.
Another thing that you froget, many pics are from also a hungarian forum(http://forum.index.hu/Article/showArticle?t=9118767), please also mention it. We glad, if you can use our pics, but don't forget to mention the source, I think it's faire.

I think if people know the source, they will and should mention it. Like you said, it's only fair. The tricky thing is though that some of the pictures have been floating around in the world-wide-web for ages and been posted on various sites (I think you will even find those in your forum) and it's hard to say where they are originally coming from. Personally, I try to mention the source whenever possible.

I thought that dress didn't look like it was from Sissi's time! Beautiful gown, though. Now I see that it is Baroque, late Baroque, by the looks of it.

Translators sometimes tricks you, don't feel yourself bad... Hungarian fashion was absolutley different from baroque to a victorian era, and Hungary isn't an well -known country (unfortunetly:() so I "forgive" you ))

I'm Hungarian, so I have to recognize our fashion:)))

Those are very interesting shoes from 1856...
And something funny I've always wondered about antique gloves...why are they always so flat? If you look at the picture of the gloves by the Beau Rivage hotel register, they seem like no adult could fit their hands into them! Have they been pressed to preserve them? Or perhaps Elisabeth just had very slender hands.
