I feel really sorry for Princess Irmingard. They had been married for 58 years ...

Strange, this site says they are married.
The closest link between them:

http://roglo.eu/roglo?lang=pt;spouse=on;m=RL;i=5240;l1=8;i1=323380;l2=7;i2=297507

And no, Alice is not a descendant from Pss. Sophie of Auersperg ?
Or is she a descendant through her mother Karin ?

I just searched the internet for some more information and found out that there has been no public announcement of this wedding. It was Netty Leistra who had a look at bridal registry lists (too much free time??) and found the entry about Alice and Lukas by accident.

Now my question: Why did she reveal this detail about a previously private concern like a wedding? Maybe the couple wanted to have a quiet day in August - now the press will be there for sure. I can't understand such an indiscreet behaviour.

They are not married.  Alice used her soon-to-be married name on her scientific paper for 2009.   I was in contact with Alice last week

The internet is not the end all and be all for information.  The engagement could been mentioned, for example, in several German newspapers -- you won't find that by googling ... you would have to search through a newspaper's website -- or through any number of online databases (which are not free).  Netty only gave the date of the wedding.  My blog included the place (Kloster Andechs) as the bride-to be gave me the exact place.

The site was corrected.
Now it says she is engaged , not married

May I ask for pictures of the present-day House Wittelsbach? I want to know if there are Wittelsbach women today as beautiful as Sissi.
Wittelsbach means White Brook, which means that the famous blue and white arms of Bavaria are a picture of water.
