Hi,

As I stated before:
Camilla looks good and quite young when she's smiling.
That last picture of her in the coach, with the window pane filtering her, declares how young and pretty she was/is!!

When did she receive the Queen's family Order?  Did I miss that announcement?
I am happy she's got it...

For some odd reason, there is never an announcement made when someone receives the monarch's family order - it only becomes known when the recipient appears wearing it for the first time.  I suppose that is because the family order is strictly a private honor - not part of the state honors.

Charles and Camilla have made an appearance in The Beano.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/prince-charles/10113653/Yikes-Prince-of-Wales-and-Duchess-of-Cornwall-tackle-the-Bash-Street-Kids.html

For non-British readers, The Beano is a comic which first appeared in 1938, and is peopled by anarchic figures such as Dennis the Menace and his dog Gnasher, the Bash Street Kids (who form Class 2B in the utterly chaotic Bash Street School), and Roger the Dodger, who spends a great deal of time avoiding anything like work.

I bought a copy of the special edition to share with my Dad, who read The Beano when it first came out, and used to join me in reading my brother's copy!

Thanks for the background on that, Ann. I read the article and wasn't quite sure what the comic was...now I do. Thank you!

No problem. I think that you can now get The Beano online, if you want to explore further.

Charles's great friend of 50 years Hugh van Cutsem has passed away at 72. Like Charles, he was an ardent conservationist. Their sons are very close to William and Harry and Hugh's granddaughter Grace was one of William and Kate's attendants.

I'm so glad he has found happiness in his life. He deserves it. Everyone does!

Now please correct me if I'm wrong but there seems to be another royal couple of the same names (titles), though not sure from which country?

What rubbish.  I think he'd make a great king.

The only reason he might not become king is that he's approaching 70.  He might just bypass in favour of William.

Does anyone know the name of Camilla's tiara?

If you're referring to the one Camilla is wearing in the carriage, it is called The Greville Tiara. You can read more about it here:
