No, Princess May of Teck is her granddaughter--her daughter's Alice's daughter. (Until 1917, May was Princess of Teck, her father's title, afterwards she became Lady May Cambridge). The 2nd child is the eldest of Charles Edward's sons. So, she's holding a child of each of her children.

You know, I always found Leopold to be the most handsome of Queen Victoria's sons, even more so than Alfred. He was a good looking guy.

i think alfred was more handsome in his early days, but unlike leopold he got to grow old and we have less handsome pictures of him. poor leopold didn't get that chance.

Alfred didn't really live to grow old - he was only 55 when he died. He lost his looks early because of the life he led -- too much tobacco, alcohol and rich food, I think.
