I chose mine because I consider Amelia Earhart to be one of my idols and I am very adventurous at heart! I am also a big fan of Mark Twain and the quote is just too true.

I was looking for some quotes and found this one, at first I didn't understand what this means, but later I realized that I was like that most of the time. And besides Confucius is a favorite of mine.

Yes he really is, and his words are so deep that if you have a mind like me, you won't understand it until a gray strand comes out on your hair. LOL!

Mine is of little Princess Elisabeth of Hesse, because I love the story of her, and have much love for the little girl.

Wow...I almost forgot what mine was, I've been gone so long.  It's one of my poems from the depressed years of high school, and judging by the subject of 85% of the discussions here, it works.

Added:

Does anyone remember when I made this picture for (I believe) the Alien Intervention thread?

I suppose it would work as a signature...

OK, so my new banner & icon is basically to poke fun at CSI: Miami's Horatio Caine. When I saw these I snagged 'em. I chose the sunglasses one for my avatar and the "Who Da Man?" one for my signature. I kept the dog quote because it's true, and I'm not yet obsessed with CSI yet.

I have my signature the way it is because I like the poems of A. E. Housman, ( I quote literature alot because I love literature second to history/royalty), and this part of one of his poems speaks about nostalgia, and longing for the past, and the past is the whole theme of this website, and I relate personally to the sentiments of that poem. Also, I love the Rilke quote, because there are so many Rilke quotes I love, and I'm ever hopeful that quote is true. I also have to say that I like current the signature of the person who started this thread from the Picnic at Hanging Rock. I'm not familiar with it, but I think it is very true.

That's me hee hee. I love that quote. It means something to me with IF.  Like when Alix had written in Nicholas' diary about even in death they would be together.  Which is a pretty spookey prediction.
