Think (and this is only my opinion) she might have been a less complex and, therefore, happier person.  She always looks as though she really won life's lottery...she after all, probably didn't expect to marry in her 30's to such a handsome prince and have the lovely family she had...

I think she was content and never as demanding as Ducky (she wanted a soulmate rather than a husband) or intellectually superior like Alice (who in her later years felt bored by her husband).

Olga was almost 4 years old at that time - and she is to be seen in other images from that very day (wearing her hair very long already)
