1914 when the WWI began, Margarethe asked her husband for a military hospital with 120 beds, it was especially for serious casualty. And there she got a schooling as a nurse's aide. She worked as a surgery nurse till 1920.

Does anyone have more info on Marie of Thurn und Taxis - Hohenlohe? Who were her parents? I only know that she wrote letters with Rainer Maria Rilke and there are even books out there. And I only have one photo of her:

She was daughter of Prince Egon von Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst and Countess Theresia Maria Beatrix von Thurn-Hofer und Valsassina(daughter of Count Johann Baptist Thurn-Hofer und Valsassina and Countess Polissena Brigido)...Marie herself is a descendant of Thurn und Taxis family,as her father's grandmother was Princess Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis...

Unfortunately,I don't know much about her life,but I think some of the fellow posters could find something more about her...

Does anyone know anything about Prince Anselm, son of Prince Ludwig-Philipp of Thurn und Taxis and Princess Elisabeth of Luxembourg?  All I've been able to find on him is that he was killed in World War II.
