Remember our puzzlement of where this window was located?

Prior to Empress Alexandra F.'s death in the fall of 1860, Professor Neff's painting "Angel Prayer" was inserted into a colored decorated glass window (RSHA F. 487). From 1866 these rooms were occupied by Alexander III and Marie F. It is possible then that Anna V. and the girls are standing on the private garden side of the right wing.

This window Lilac Empress room. It was the first at the door after the rosewood room. Look at the bottom of the window. This is a basement window. Vyrubova and children came here from the balcony of the Empress
