Vladimir,
I didn't know this book exists in English! I have already ordered the Russian version through RPS (at $38 plus ONLY $2 shipping, the price can't be beat), but I am willing to spend more if it's in English. Can you tell us how much the English version costs? Thank you.

I saw this book in English also.
Ask the publisher (nice woman) in Moscow:   pinak@mail.cnt.ru

I saw this book in a second-hand bookshop in St Petersburg (LIteyny ave.). It cost 1500rub=$56. But it was 1-2 years ago. Try to write to Moscow.

I wrote to the publisher of this book at the e-mail provided by Vladimir and this was the reply:

"Unfortunatly, the book "Toys of the Tsar's Children" had't publish in English.

With very best wishes,
Pinakotheke"

It is my mistake I think. It was in Russian.

Did you ask of the price?

I did ask how much was the price for the English version, but since she said there isn't any such version, no price was given.

I ordered this book through RPS on Feb. 1st and just got it in today, so if others that ordered around the same time haven't received it yet, you should soon! I leafed quickly through the book and it looks lovely - lots of pictures not only of toys, but the children's drawings, clothing, paintings, and photos.

You got one of the in-stock copies, right? I ordered mine right around the same time, but they were all spoken for so I'm still waiting for the new shipment from Moscow....

Yes, I got an "in-stock" copy, though technically they still had to wait for it to come in from Moscow. It's just that I got one of the few that were already ordered and on their way, which is why it still took a few weeks to get.
