1913 Formal Portrait of TN

<< < (2/3) > >>

Sarushka:
This thread got me thinking -- as far as I know, there are NO individaul or "pair" photos of Maria or Anastasia from 1913. I wonder why? They may not have been old enough to be photographed in full-length court dress, but I find it hard to believe that no individual portraits of any sort were taken of the younger children during the tercentary year. I'm away from my laptop at the moment, but I believe I noticed while posting this morning that both Olga and Tatiana have non-court dress poses that year... :-\

ALEXEI_P:
Dear Saruska,

Thank you so much! The one I have of ON is the one one you posted on the right and the one I had in mind of TN is exactly the one you posted the third from the left.  They are all lovely.  I would love to see what you have on the little pair in modified court dresses you mentioned, they might work well in the ensemble if all were sized to compliment one another. It's probably correct that MN and AN were two young to be photographed formallly in "grown up" court gowns in 1913.

I was going to put one of the famous three quarter head shots of Alexei in the middle, but what do you think of using the famous one of him in the cossack uniform---or would that be too much?

Your thoughtful posts and insight are greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your help and insights.

Alexei

Not that I know of. That closeup is a screen shot from a Russian documentary, and I don't think they zoomed in on Olga like that.

grandduchess_42:
OH OK!
thank you sarushka :)
