Romanov pre 1900 photographs of the Czar and his family
« on: December 23, 2007, 08:54:45 AM »
:o I have inherited Some of the late Czar of Russia Nicholas  Romanov II  items. These items were originally owned by the former Nanny.I am not sure how long she worked for them but do know she eventuly migrated to the United States in the early 1900's.She and her Husband Migrated here and had 2 daughters. They owned a general store in Florence Arizona I have alot photos of them there. This was in the desert and not much for miles. They were a wealthy family and did alot of traveling. I have a whole photo album of postcards from late 1800's early 1900's. Looks mostlet like churches and landmarks of some sort. In a photo album I found a lot of old photographs they are original Romanov pictures in exellent shape. There are many photos of other people but I am not sure who they could be. I have never been up to date with the tragety that became them. Until my Husband I watched a documentary of it. That is when I found out who the photographs were. I called my Aunt to find out more on the subject and she filled me in.
My Mother took care of a very wealthy old lady for years and she had brought out the photos and explained the story to my Mom. This woman was 96 years old when she passed away and left my Mom everything because the lady was last in line of her family. My Mother passed away recently and I found this stuff cleaning out one of her houses. We looked at it and put it away until the documentary. Well now I am interested and curious about what all we have here. I will include my email address and if any one could help me figure out what we have here we would appreciate the time and help on the subject. I have photos of everything we have.
