Russians in Venezia
« on: March 28, 2007, 03:16:57 AM »
I have heard that Great Ballerina Talioni  have received two palazzo in Venezia from Russian Aristocrats.
Bud I have no idea which ones.
I also think that russians loved Venezia, so , maybe there are some traces of their presence in this wonderful city.
Maybe, we could discuss about it too?

I have found out that  Russian Prince Alexander Trubetskoy gave as present to ballerina Talioni  Ca'd'Oro - great Palazzo at Canale Grande.
But at those time she already was the owner of two other palazzo....

GD Maria Pawlovna went for honey moon to Venice. She wanted to go to Venezia since she was born.
It seems that those time , she did not like it.
But she started to love Venezia later.
So we could say , how important to use the proper man to go to Venezia :-*

According GD Gavriil Konstantinovitch, KR , his father, adored Venezia.

I have found that in the beginning of the October of 1894 KR and his wife stayed at HOtel Albergo Brittania in Venice.
As far as I know, this hotel does not exist now or has another name.
Maybe somebody knows, where  it is?
