Depends on what you mean by tragic.  Ernie's daughter Elizabeth of Hesse probably falls into that category (if that's not the Ella you're referring to).  You might also include Viktoria of Prussia (Vicky's daughter), Feodora of Saxe-Meiningen (Vicky's granddaughter, Charlotte's daughter), Marie of Romania (Carmen Sylvia's daughter), and May of Hesse.  You could do Empress Elisabeth of Austria too, but I think she made herself tragic, rather than became that way by accident.

Those are good ones that Aliss_Kande listed.   ;D  What about Marie Antoinette?  Or better yet, her daughter, Madame Royale?

What about the daughters of Ferdinand and Isabella? They were all hit by tragedy in one way or another ;)

 :)

Aloha from Kaua'i!

My personal pick would be our beautiful Princess Victoria Ka'iulani Cleghorn of Hawai'i -- the heir to the throne of Hawai'i -- after the overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy in 1893, the Princess lingered for a few years, but sickened and died at the age of 23.

This is a short, short, short biography of her I'm afraid!  There are many great sites that will give you information about her.

Here are some pictures:

If you need any help in researching her life, please PM me -- I have done much research on her!

Malama Pono,
Janet

PLEASE!
i don't know either of these princesses died besides OTMA

i don't even know how Ella, alix's sister died.
i wish to know!
if anybody could shed some light on all these princesses that would be amazing!
thank you!

Well, we all know how OTMA died.
Elizabeth of Hesse (Alix's sister) was shot and thrown into a pit (I believe, but most likely wrong).
Elizabeth of Hesse (Ernie's daughter) got typhoid while visiting OTMA in Russia.
Viktoria of Prussia (Vicky's daughter) just had a bad life.  She was thwarted in love, was unable to have children, and died poor and alone.
Feodora of Saxe-Meiningen suffered from Poryphoria (spelled wrong) her whole life and I believe she committed suicide.
Marie of Romania (Carmen Sylvia's daughter) died at the age of 4 from scarlet fever.
May of Hesse also died at age 4, but from diptheria (also spelled wrong).

I'm afraid I don't know too much about the others listed, but I hope this helps! ;D

Sissi married at fifteen and wasn't entirely prepared for it, or her overbearing mother-in-law.  She developed anorexia and was pretty crazy in the end.  But I'm probably not the best source for her because I'm not the biggest Sissi fan.

I read The Reluctant Empress, which is about Sissi.  It was a good book, but I have not been fond of Sissi ever since.
