As I am a handful of pages away from finishing my book on Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, I thought I might start a new topic.

The actual name of the book is Alexandra Feodorovna: The Untold Story of the Last Empress of Russia and the First World War.

As I said in a recent post, it is hard to realize that it has taken 8 years to write.

But, just to say, I have enjoyed every minute and am so grateful for the discussi9on forum as it drew the attention of so many individuals who have been so important to the writing of my book.

griffh A new book has just come out:
Shooting the Front Eastern Operations Volume one With Out Flyers no Tannenberg by Terrance J Finnegan, Helmut Jager and Carl Bobrow which deals with air operations in the early months of the war on the Eastrn Front. This one deals mainly with the air ops during the Battles of Tannenberg and the Masurian  Lakes. There are 3 more volumes in the works. You mentioned AF hospital train being bombed in one of your earlier posts. Do you have any info when and where this happened? Do you have any other info on when and where any other hospital or sanitary trains came under air attack? If so I may be able to find out what unit did it.
