I bought this book in English during my visit to St. Petersburg. As far as I know, it is sold only in the Palace. I really don't remember the price anymore, but it couldn't have been more than 500 roubles. Probably it was less!
As it was said, it is informative. If you aren't a really big fan of this family, you will be probably bored. There are almost no photos of the family. You read information about the heating system, toilets, cooking... If you are really interested in some of these topics, I can send you some info from the book.

I published the chapter about stables. Sorry for the quality, I did my best. The paper reflects light so I can't use the flash. If it is illegible, contact me.

I hope you enjoy.

OK, so hopefully someone can tell more about this.

Well from what I read on ebay it's only about 30 some pages long and again it looks very intresting but I can't help but think that it's overpriced maybe? The starting bid is 34.00, but I must admit that I may be tempted enough to bid. Does anyone have any more information on it? What is it about? Is it worth getting?

does anyone know if this is the book joanna was referring to, about the redecoration of Feliks & Irina's private apartments in the Moika palace?

.

i'm still dying to know what book it is that has the plans for their area of the palace...  does anyone know?

There are no plans in that book but a whole chapter with some photos about the Felix-Irina apartments in the Yusupov Palace.

I was in Paris last week and I saw some Ferrand's books in one of the bookshops. There were books on Musin-Puskin, Vorontsov or Orlov..I don't remember well but the thing is that there were books on some particular noble russian families. Also there were books-albums with a looot of pictures of different princes and dutchessses and other noblemen. I saw the Yussupov family as well, but the pictures were quite banal. These albums were published (though the date was printed on the bottom of the cover) 1993 and even 1987!!! does it mean that it is rather possible to find the book we all dream of? or is the one on the yuyssupovs the rarest?

I think several of Ferrand's books have become rare at this point.  'Les Youssoupoff's' is a very difficult book to find. I think I saw it come up on ebay a year or two ago and it was sold for over $300.00.. If you find it and can afford it I suggest getting it. It's really one of those books any Youssoupoff lover would treasure.

Although the Youssoupoff threads have hundreds of photos, there more waiting to be discovered. I can still remember when there was only a handful of pictures avaliable. The forum has come a long way over the years. :)

I haven't seen the book forever but I'm certain there are several photographs that have not been posted.

Dear all!

I have to apologize for being slow in promoting my book - documental biography of prince Felix Youssoupoff- published in Russia in 2003. After all these years of the search of publisher I can only regret that English speaking audience still has no access to the unique archive documents published in my research.

I know this gap has been partly filled by some pictures several times presented in this forum without any reference to my book, however now I am happy to let you all know that the short outline and many unpublished before pictures are available on my newly created site both in Russian and English (some things are still to be improved) on

www.krasnykh.com or www.krasnykh.com/eng

Please note that if you copy anything to other publication reference to the book is a must. (for the respect of work which has been done!)

I am happy to answer all your questions in Russian, English or French.

Best regards,

Elizabeth Krasnykh

Thank you for posting this wonderful link. You have several unique photographs. I'm assuming the book is in Russian? Also how can this book be ordered and do you ship to the United States?

Thanks
