My thoughts exactly on the age and ability of dancers! It's hard to find gifted dancers with the ability needed to convey the roles. I'm interested in Daniil Simkin I think that's his last name, he has a myspace and a page on youtube, he's gifted, the son of Dmitry, but I have heard people say he still has far to go yet. I believe he performs ith Vienna now.

Well well! The Pas De Deux!

Hatred – this is a disgusting feeling. Yes, there is sport gambling, there is a striving to win. But to hate someone – this is awful! I think, that first of all you have to learn to respect your rival. -- Evgeni Plushenko

The dancers playing OTMA look way too old! They were teenagers, not adults!

true!
but you really can't find alot of teenagers who can to point!
the dance studio i go to all teenagers do pointe  well i don't because i don't do ballet but the ballet techer told me i could do pinte because she watched me in lyrical.

i know quite a few teenagers who are on pointe or could be on pointe

there was a girl in my french class who was on pointe

my friend could probably be on pointe by now if she had stayed in ballet.

Going on pointe and being a gifted pointe dancer are two entirely different things.

I can still go on pointe and I am a out of shape, 6 foot tall, late 30's male!  LOL

That is amazing Mikey! I have always admired the ability of the male danseur. My particular favorites are, well, the usual Baryshnikov, Nureyev, and Melakhov. Nureyev's Nutcracker Pas de Deux is extraordinary IMO.

Haha I bet LOL. I do plies and releves occasionally, not as often as I should though, and my legs kill me afterwards.

Ohh what I wouldn't give to be able to have seen Nijinsky dance. Especially to compare him to Plushenko's tribute to him, see how well they match up LOL.

The characters in the above pas de deux, after much research, are Tzar Nicholai and his former mistress Mathilde.

It's just another Anna Anderson piece of crap.
You know a lot of people worked hard on this and I find it offensive considering I'm close to one of the choreographers. And to the ballerinas who worked for months maybe years on this production. I like to think that she escaped even though I know deep down inside that it was impossible.
