here at 3:24 you can see Alexey as he is looking for something in his mouth . I would like to know if he had  some tic, some  way of moving which he done without thinking as touching his hair or move the head.

here at 2:07 seems that alexey is beating the little boy next to him, am i wrong? too difficult to know the little boy's name? Poor one, he didn't turn his head as the others in the right time^^"

Now that you mention it, I have seen him doing that in another video. Not sure whether it's coincidence or if indeed it was a habit of his to poke his tongue into his cheek.

nena knows the names of some of the cadets Aleksei was permitted to associate with, but I don't think this particular boy has every been identified by name.

It always seemed to me AN was not satisfied with the poor boy's military form when at attention and told to look right. That was quite a smack..on his face and hands to correct him!

I dont know the boys' names, but it was shot in Finland in 1912. (Some sources say that it was Massandra. but I am almost sure that it was Finland) The names of two cadets that befriended the Heir were Zehnya Makarov and Vasya Agaev, and they are visible in 1916 photos near the Dnieper.

I have noticed it too, and to me it seems that it was his personal habit. He loved to be chief and focus of attention.

Btw, Avril's Innocence is great song to me.

I've this habit too. And i also chew the inside of my lips & mouth. My mum says i do it when i'm nervous, but she's quite wrong. I do it when i'm thinking hard or i'm deeply focused on something. But i don't know if Alexej did it for the same reason. But i've a stuck of pics when i was a little girl showing i'm doing something in my mouth and that made me pretty ugly!

"Tongue in cheek"! I heard that people would really do that in medieaval times and that was where the expression came from!
Alexei certainly was a very specific sort of boy-- he wanted everything just right, even if it meant hitting a companion! To me, though, it looks like he's just lightly slapping the little boy-nothing too painful, because Alexei was kind, too.

I like it too! Not many of her other songs appeal to me--I've only heard a couple more, though, but this one is so fun. I like that you can hear the lyrics, unlike a lot of modern music.

I've always found the video of Aleksey smacking the other boy shocking. And I hope he was scolded good for that!

I commonly chew the inside of my mouth too, in boredom or stress. And as for the slapping, the first time I saw that, I was so shocked that I bursted into some sort of pitiful laugh!
