Why Anastasia and Not Alexei?

There have actually been more Alexei claimants than Anastasia or any other OTMA, actually. And I believe that Anna Anderson wasn't the first Anastasia claimant...but I can't remember the first.

The first was a woman named Mlle. Berditch. She showed up in Paris in 1920 with her claim to be Anastasia, and was laughed out of town.

well when alexei died he was pretty young! and when you turn older you also change from the outside how you look
