I did a quick drawing of Nicholas and was surprised how stern his expression turned out...but you know gentle Nicholas could look very stern if he had a mind to.

Here's a photo when he's giving  a withering glance to Olga...one can see her "humble snub" lowered
 in what seems to be  contrition ...she might have made a brash  remark that displeased her father....not impossible lol!


and then playing around with filters on the old Mac,
I accidentally created this psychedelic Nicholas...which I almost  like better lol!

Ah...now I see the crude watermarks I put on these files is showing up on photo-bucket, they weren't when I first  posted...my initials  and the date are  not on the painting! But friends have begged me to put some kind of watermark on my painting files before posting on the web and so reluctantly, I have. ...Sadly, I can't figure out how to do it in  text without it being on her face!
