Here is one that I did of Maria (my second third favorite Romanov) sorry if her smile is not that good, plus the hand and the right arm. :(

You already know how much I love it.

You draw the Romanovs the most realistically. And beautifully.

Yes. I know how much you love it :3

I have to agree with Holly :) Wonderful work.I wonder is painting only your hobby or something more?

I actually didn't paint this, it's done in pencil and I fiddled with the skin on photoshop a bit. Here's a more honest look at what it's like in person: http://www.keeganyoung.deviantart.com/#/d2vupok

Astonishing and amazing!!!!! You must have prints made of this! imo
Keegan, in all seriousness...this needs to be a print. Truly amazing

Thank you so much Anne! Yes, I'm working on getting it done : D

Honestly amazing Keegan.
Fabulous work!

Laura, thank you so very much : ))))))))))

That is indeed very lovely! Truly exquisite. How long did it take you to draw?
I love the way they look so real and sort of glowing. Their blouses look like real silk! I also love Tatiana's little smile, and their heights. The background makes me sad...  :'(

I've been working on this since last August, but for months it's sat there as just a sketch on paper. I finally got around to do some serious shading when I got off school back in April. So the majority of the work was done over a 5 month period. Tatiana seems to be most people's favourite, even my own. I was so incredibly pre-occupied with worrying about their heights when drawing this, as I thought I'd made Tatiana too tall. But I found one picture of them taken in late 1917 or early 1918 that showed them pretty much at those same heights so I felt a little better. The background is very much meant to be sad, a reminder of what happened and what was lost.

It's just splendid one! Well done!

Thank you Nena!

My gooness! Since last August! Well, it shows, how much hard work you put into such a lovely piece of artwork.
And that's excatly what I thought, their heights look just like in the Olga-smiling-bald-heads picture!

Keegan, for some reason my computer doesn't like that art site generally! lol! But I was on your account  long enough to see the drawing without photo shop and love that too. I LIKE how big it is  as well and totally agree that bigger is better when doing Romanov portraits. I find I need room to create a  likeness.  I'm glad to learn you are doing something about a print of this piece! I want one!

Grand Duchess Olga Nicholaievna, Tsraskoe Selo gardens, cca. 1915:

I must admit, the original photo really shows not so much, though I could have done it bit detailed/better. Ahh, I am satisfied with the result. (This one is scanned, since I had posted the same taken by my cam).

Very good! I like it.
You're right, the original picture doesn't show much detail, because it's a full shot, but your drawing looks quite like the photo!
Odd hats they're wearing.

nena! I like it!  That's not an easy one to do. But you did a good job!  When the photo does not give much detail , then look at other photos for help and your own knowledge too  ;)

But that is always the case! We always think :  it could have been better! And that is what drives one on! Often at the end of a painting, I think,  NOW I'm ready to paint this picture! lol! My own Olga will be posted tomorrow! :)

Anne, I'm very excited for the final piece to be posted!

And Nena, excellent work! Will you be doing all of OTMAA from that particular photograph?

I really look forward to see your Olga Nicholaievna, blessOTMA !!!!

Well, Keegan, I must admit that after I did Tatiana, I got demoralized since it turned out bad, and I got no will to continue. At least, not yet. However that photo is so unclear so I can't see much of their expressions. Or should I choose another photo of them?  Thank you on your compliment, it means a lot! :D
