Reply to post 78, about this picture of OTM in a boat. Is that really the Standart? Even if it is from the Ania' s album for 1913, it is not sure that it is 1913. In her 1914 album (or 1916, I do not remember) there is a picture of 1907. In his diary, july and august 1915, Nicolas wrote he took OTM, they went to Peterhof and visit some boats for review. For example the 18 august.  In 1913 Maria Nikolaevna was s little bit smaller, and Tatiana had shorter hair. I think. Could this hypothese be right?
And thanks a lot for this wonderful picture. I like so much the beautiful Olga's smile!

Aleksey's hat falling off. And Aleksandra smiling. Does anyone else think as long as long as Aleksey was (safely) goofing off, Aleksandra was happy?

I'm almost positive I saw that photo of Alexei all wrapped up identified as some kind of treatment he was undergoing--perhaps a type of mud bath. Does this strike a chord with anyone?

Maria's wearing a dress in that pic? I thought it was an old bathing suit. Yes, it was proper to not show your underwear, especially in pics, but Maria was young. It was also improper for girls to show their legs, which OTMA did a lot when they were younger.
