Yeah I found that on Google Earth the other day too, it's a shame it's a very blurry satellite image; but better than nothing at all I guess!

I think its wonderful, thanks for posting it Reco.  Does anyone know if Anna's little house shows in the first picture or is it too small?   Isn't the roof renovation on N&A's side of the AP nice!

Firstly, thank you Reco for those amazing photographs.   They really do show the perfect symmetry of the Alexander Palace.

Since this thread is 'Alexander Palace Dimensions', I am trying hard to remember the inside dimensions of each room.   I think they were all (or in multiples of) 32 feet/ 16 feet.   As I write this, it does sound very small, but I remember when I discovered the interior sizes I was surprised by the size.   So, Nicholas and Alexandra's Bedroom (twice as deep as it was long) was exactly half the length of the Maple Room, for example.

Could someone please confirm the interior measurements of the rooms.  An impression of scale is quite important to imagine how the house worked.

Why is the ground around the palace so brown?  It looks like all the trees have been cut down.

Hi :

It appears that the photos were taken in Winter and that the ponds are frozen.

Also, it appears that the trees  in the town are evergreen, whilst the trees surrounding the palace have  leaves only in the Summer.

It is also possible that we are seeing photos taken at different times of the year.

The last time I checked Google Earth the palace was covered with clouds and could not be seen at all.  These appear to be new photos.

Wow, great :D

Finally some detailed pictures of the AP and surroundings.
Last time I looked they were still very undetailed and blurry.

Wow that is pretty cool.  It's strange seeing the surrounding ground look like mud.  Also the very dull right side of palace.  I wish I could download google earth.
What about other palaces like Gatchina.
