Fyodor- for some reason the website isn't letting me reply to PMs so here's my answer to your question:

I think in English "a la" means more of "in the style of" than just the literal "of the" or "to the" which it is in French. The French use it to mean "in the style of" as well though. I've never heard "aux" used in English. It definitely means the same as "a la" in French though.

I am so shocked that I thought (and many websites think) that à la Paris is correct French! Now I see it must be à la parisienne! And:
