I've heard this song in three movies.

Romanovs: A Crowned family-----Nicholas sings it on the train to stavka and it is heard elsewhere

Agonia------Rasputin, Vyrubova and Sturmer sing it

Rasputin (HBO version)---I think Alan Rickman sings it or it is heard in the background at some point.

Was this song a song of the times or a traditional Russian folk tune that had been long in existence??

I am curious.
