History of Russian Ballet DVDs
« on: November 07, 2004, 05:16:11 PM »
My little niece had the great good fortune to meet Mikhail Baryshnikov recently, after a performance by his company (ABT?), and now she is completely enthralled by the Russian ballet! I would like to give her a DVD (or two or three!) about the history of the Russian imperial ballet for Christmas. Does anyone know of any good DVDs out there on this subject? I would like to give her something that features performances by some of the great prima ballerinas of the past, like Pavlova and Plisetskaya.
